Hearing tests, hearing aid fitting and follow-up take place at our sister optical practice Óptica Herradores (La Laguna, Tenerife). In-person care from qualified hearing aid specialists. Purchases and financing are registered with Gafas Canarias.
Audiology is a regulated healthcare specialty. Hearing aid fitting requires in-person care: hearing assessment, hearing tests and adjustments to meet your needs. This part of the service takes place at our practice in La Laguna. Purchases and financing can be registered with Gafas Canarias. The number of visits depends on your assessment and the model you choose; we coordinate this with you before fitting.

When you buy your hearing aids, your progressive glasses are included free.
Choose Phonak Audéo Infinio (Sphere/R/Virto) and we include a pair of progressive glasses with Varilux, Zeiss or Hoya lenses, at no additional cost.
When you buy your progressive glasses, 100% of their price is credited towards hearing aids.
The price of your progressive glasses is credited towards Phonak Infinio hearing aids, up to €1,000. You can transfer the offer to someone you choose.

Standard rechargeable RIC. Well suited to everyday environments. Retail price per pair: €2,000–€2,600.

Custom rechargeable in-the-ear hearing aid. The format and configuration are selected after your hearing assessment.

Portable charger for Audéo Sphere Infinio. Battery life and charging times depend on the hearing aid and how you use it.
The process, step by step
Step 1 · Request an appointment — using the form, by calling 922 634 615 or via WhatsApp. Mention that you are coming from Gafas Canarias.
Step 2 · Free hearing test at Herradores — a 60-minute appointment with a qualified hearing aid specialist in an ISO 8253-1 soundproof booth. Pure-tone and speech audiometry. You receive your results at the appointment.
Step 3 · Fitting — choose a model based on your specific hearing loss. We coordinate delivery and adjustments through the appointments you need. We explain maintenance and the myPhonak features compatible with your model.
Step 4 · 30-day trial — if the hearing aids do not suit you, return them at no cost for a full refund.

Hearing tests are carried out by a qualified hearing aid specialist. Spain’s Higher Technician in Prosthetic Audiology qualification is regulated by Royal Decree 1685/2007. The booth meets ISO 8253-1. Interacoustics audiometer. Our team has over 30 years of experience caring for patients from across the Canary Islands.

Frequently asked questions
Why do I need to visit La Laguna if I live on another island?
Hearing aid fitting requires hearing tests in a soundproof booth and in-person fine-tuning. It cannot be prescribed remotely. If you are travelling from another island, contact us before arranging your trip. We coordinate appointments according to your assessment, model availability and the adjustments needed.
Is the purchase registered with Gafas Canarias or Herradores?
As you prefer. The invoice can be issued by Gafas Canarias or Óptica Herradores. Accounts, warranties and follow-up are managed through either brand — we are the same company.
How much does the hearing test cost?
It is free, with no obligation to buy. You receive your results in writing and a professional report, even if you decide not to buy hearing aids.
Is there a trial period?
Yes. We offer a 30-day trial. If you are not comfortable during that period, return the hearing aids for a full refund.
Is there public healthcare or mutual insurance coverage?
Coverage depends on your age, clinical indication and the responsible organisation. Spain’s common SNS catalogue includes hearing aids for patients aged zero to twenty-six who meet its requirements; it does not provide a general €800 grant for people above that age. MUFACE, ISFAS and MUGEJU have their own conditions. Check with your health service or mutual insurer; we can guide you on the documentation at your appointment.
Is financing available?
Yes, up to 36 months interest-free. We show you the calculator at your appointment. The process is quick and registered with Gafas Canarias or Herradores, as you prefer.
